Side Stuff - AutoCad

I spent a little time recently attempting to learn AutoCAD for my mother, apparently flatpack christmas trees are a thing now. An expensive thing. So I was 'commisioned' (paid in board and lodgings) to design a simple wooden christmas tree in a program I'd never experienced with a deadline of two days (later extended to a week). Needless to say the project was a disaster.

It's a tree. Well, half a tree.

I consider one of the things I'm truly good at is learning, I've always been rather proud of my ability to learn and understand things quicker than most, even if putting what I've learned into practice might not create the wonders others are able to. Learning AutoCAD however was an abomination of a task, that is not an easy program to breakdown, not in the slightest.

At least mirroring seems pretty simple.

And now I'm stuck. This will take some serious effort.
